Unfortunately, we lost all detailed reports because of a misfortune. Therefore, we give only a short summary of the last days.
8.8.01
Lydia and Ralf ascend from Camp 2 to Camp 3. There is heavy storm and snowfall there.
Markus, Olaf and Christian loaf in the base camp.
9.8.01
Olaf, Max and Christian, together with their Spanish friends Jospi and Jordi, ascend to camp 1. Christian stays there in order to support Ralf and Lydia with pulling down the tents after their summiting. The other ones go towards Gasherbrum La and erect their tents there - the storm to Hidden Peak begins.
Permanent snowfall and danger of avalanches urged Lydia and Ralf to give up. They pull off camp 3 and descend to camp 2, later to camp 1.
10.8.01
Christian ascends from camp 1 to camp 2, pulls off the latter and returns to camp 1. Accompanied by Ralf and Lydia, he descends to the bass camp.
Olaf and Max spend the day at camp 2 (6400 m) at the Hidden Peak. There is snowstorm and they hope for better weather.
