condition & climbing training in Maroc
TZogether with friends(a.o. Dieter Rülker from Dresden and Günter Jung from Schmalkalden), Markus spent the April in Maroc. The planned ski downhills in the High Atlas failed because of extreme temperatures and no snow. Therefore, we climbed 16 peaks above 3500m height.

Among them was the Jebel Toubkal, with 4167m the highest mountain in North Africa which is however technically relatively simple. Around the Jebel Toubkal, we successfully climbed all 4000 m peaks:

  • Toubkal Ouest 4010m
  • Imouzzer 4010m
  • Ras-n-Ouanoukrim 4083m
  • Timesguida 4088m
  • Akioud 4010m
  • Afella Sud 4015m
  • Afella Nord 4030m
  • Bigouinnossane 4000m
Thereafter, we went some hundred kilometers more to the Todra-Gorge, where 300 climbing routes between 10 and 500 meters long were installed during the last 15 years. We climbed a lot of ways until level 6c (french Scale, corresponds to saxon VIIIc).
