At the basecamp most teams quit, not only our team is on its way back. When I went through the BC yesterday, most camp sites were already empty. However, some commercial expeditions still try to expand the official season.
Meanwhile we get bad news from the North of Everest. Some people summited successfully from there but these stories are accompanied by thrillers. We were told that seven climbers are missed, some are even dead. When fixing the route, some sherpas got severe frostbites. From our side, i.e. from South, there ist still no succesful summiting this season.
But our expedition has not ended yet. Packing all the equipment needs a lot of time. All loads must be prepared and sorted to fit the 25 kg limit for yaks.
